For this week’s small assignment, I decided to design a countdown clock for Maria.
The above picture shows my prototype. Basically, this clock has two plates. The outer red circle represents the actual dates in a month. The inner orange circle is used for counting down days.
In order to let Maria track how many days are until her vacation date, she can rotate the orange circle and make sure the fan shape is pointed right at her expected vacation date. She then can point the arrow to the current date she is in. The number on the orange circle will then tell her how many days are left till her vacation.
For instance, as the picture shows now, I will have a vacation on the 13th, currently is the 7th of that month. So I will have to wait for 7 more days (including today) till I can enjoy my vacation.
